Our head teacher Lizzie Overton joined the school part time in April 2006 and full time in September 2006.
All classes are led by qualified teachers who have between them a range of experience in state and independent schools. Teachers are encouraged to take time out of class to develop their professional expertise. They are also given the opportunity to develop their skills and learning experiences with in the school. With small classes the school operates on a human scale. Teachers use open ended planning systems to ensure that learning responds primarily to the children’s interests and enthusiasms. Our unique model of respectful communication replaces systems of punishment and reward and works to ensure healthy relationships throughout the school community.

Teacher Vacancy for September 2010
We are now looking for an intellectually reflective, creative and hard-working class teacher to join our pioneering team initially for a period of one year. The successful applicant will be willing to work with children of all ages and be fully qualified. We regret that this post is not suitable for NQTs.
Starting date: September 2010
Salary: M1 to M4* on the national teacher pay scales
Closing date for applications: Wednesday 5th May 2010.
