After Lewes New School

After LNS Banner

What next?

Children leave Lewes New School as intrinsically motivated, disciplined and confident individuals, with a clear sense of themselves and a desire to cherish and enrich the world in which they live. They have a passion for learning and for life.

The diversity of educational experiences our children go on to explore is as diverse as the children themselves.

Many go on to our local comprehensive schools. Some achieve great academic success (such as Molly, who recently received 11 A*s in her GCSEs), while others pursue their chosen passion – be that theatre, music, history, or computer programming. Riah was given the role of Head Girl in her final year at Priory School, a position she agreed to take on so she could “make a difference from the inside”.

Others go on to independent schools. Our alumni have been awarded prestigious music, design & technology, dance and academic scholarships for colleges and schools including Ardingley and Hurstpierpoint, Roedean and Lewes Old Grammar. When Isla first left LNS to go to Hurst, her tutor commented in her report that her ‘approach to learning was second to none’.

Many of our children go on to be Class Reps or members of Student Councils and Debating Societies, a testament to their principles, self-assurance and aptitude for communication.
